Image optimizer

Shrink your images,
speed up your site.

Resize, compress, and convert any image to WebP, right here in your browser, with nothing uploaded. Drop in a heavy photo and download a web-ready version in seconds.

Optimized image

Drop or choose an image and it is compressed and converted right here. Nothing is uploaded to any server.

Your images are processed entirely in your browser and never uploaded. Results depend on the image; photos compress far more than flat graphics. WebP is supported by every current browser.

Big images are one of the most common reasons small-business sites are slow

A photo straight off a phone or camera can be 4 to 8 MB, far larger than a web page should ever load. Shrinking it to a sensible width and converting it to WebP routinely cuts the file by 70 to 90% with no visible quality loss, which means faster pages, happier visitors, and better Google rankings.

This tool does it entirely in your browser. Your images are never uploaded anywhere. Once they are optimized, see the difference with our speed test, or let us build a site that stays fast by default.

Questions

Good to
know.

How do I compress an image for my website?

Resize it to the largest width it will actually display at (often 1600px or less), then export it as WebP at around 80% quality. That usually cuts the file size by 70 to 90% with no visible loss. This tool does both steps at once, right in your browser. Drop in an image, and download the optimized version.

Is WebP better than JPG or PNG?

For most website photos, yes. WebP files are typically 25 to 35% smaller than the same-quality JPEG and far smaller than PNG, and every modern browser supports it. Use PNG only when you need a transparent background or pixel-perfect graphics; use WebP or JPEG for photos.
