Move URLs without
losing your rankings.
Paste your old and new URLs and get correct 301 redirect rules for Cloudflare, Apache, or Nginx, so changed pages keep their traffic and search rankings instead of 404-ing.
This generates standard redirect syntax from the pairs you enter. Test redirects before and after going live, avoid chains (A→B→C), and make sure each old URL points to the most relevant new page.
Good to
know.
What is a 301 redirect and when do I need one?
A 301 is a permanent redirect: it sends anyone (and any search engine) who visits an old URL to a new one, and it passes almost all of the old page's ranking value to the new page. Use 301s whenever you change a URL, restructure your site, or move to a new domain. Otherwise you get 404 errors and lose the rankings and links you'd built.
How do I add 301 redirects to my site?
It depends on your host. On Cloudflare Pages you list them in a _redirects file; on Apache you add Redirect rules to .htaccess; on Nginx you add rewrite rules to your server block. This tool writes the correct syntax for each. Paste your old and new URLs, pick your host, and copy the result. If that sounds fiddly, we handle redirects as part of every site migration.
